וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יְהֽוֹשָׁפָט֙ עִם אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵ֥ר עִם אֲבֹתָ֖יו בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יְהוֹרָ֥ם בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו

and to lie down · Jehoshaphat · with · fathers his · and to bury · with · fathers his · in/at city of · David · and to reign · Jehoram · son his · under him

וְלֽוֹ אַחִ֞ים בְּנֵ֣י יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט עֲזַרְיָ֤ה וִֽיחִיאֵל֙ וּזְכַרְיָ֣הוּ וַעֲזַרְיָ֔הוּ וּמִיכָאֵ֖ל וּשְׁפַטְיָ֑הוּ כָּל אֵ֕לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט מֶ֥לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל

וַיִּתֵּ֣ן לָהֶ֣ם אֲ֠בִיהֶם מַתָּנ֨וֹת רַבּ֜וֹת לְכֶ֤סֶף וּלְזָהָב֙ וּלְמִגְדָּנ֔וֹת עִם עָרֵ֥י מְצֻר֖וֹת בִּֽיהוּדָ֑ה וְאֶת הַמַּמְלָכָ֛ה נָתַ֥ן לִֽיהוֹרָ֖ם כִּי ה֥וּא הַבְּכֽוֹר

and to give · to/for them · father their · gifts · many · to/for silver · and to/for gold · and to/for excellent things · with · cities of · ramparts · in/at Judah · and - · the kingdom · to give · to/for Jehoram · that · he · the firstborn

וַיָּ֨קָם יְהוֹרָ֜ם עַל מַמְלֶ֤כַת אָבִיו֙ וַיִּתְחַזַּ֔ק וַיַּהֲרֹ֥ג אֶת כָּל אֶחָ֖יו בֶּחָ֑רֶב וְגַ֖ם מִשָּׂרֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל

בֶּן שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וּשְׁתַּ֛יִם שָׁנָ֖ה יְהוֹרָ֣ם בְּמָלְכ֑וֹ וּשְׁמוֹנֶ֣ה שָׁנִ֔ים מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם

וַיֵּ֜לֶךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ מַלְכֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית אַחְאָ֔ב כִּ֚י בַּת אַחְאָ֔ב הָ֥יְתָה לּ֖וֹ אִשָּׁ֑ה וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָֽה

and to walk · in/at way of · kings of · Israel · like/as which · to do · house of · Ahab · that · daughter of · Ahab · to be · to/for him · woman · and to do · the evil · in/at eyes of · LORD

וְלֹא אָבָ֣ה יְהוָ֗ה לְהַשְׁחִית֙ אֶת בֵּ֣ית דָּוִ֔יד לְמַ֣עַן הַבְּרִ֔ית אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּרַ֖ת לְדָוִ֑יד וְכַאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֗ר לָתֵ֨ת ל֥וֹ נִ֛יר וּלְבָנָ֖יו כָּל הַיָּמִֽים

and not · to be willing · LORD · to destroy · - · house of · David · for the sake of · the covenant · which · to cut · to/for David · and like/as which · to say · to give · to/for him · lamp · and to/for sons his · all of · the days

בְּיָמָיו֙ פָּשַׁ֣ע אֱד֔וֹם מִתַּ֖חַת יַד יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיַּמְלִ֥יכוּ עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מֶֽלֶךְ

in/at days his · to rebel · Edom · from under · hand of · Judah · and to reign · upon them · king

וַיַּֽעֲבֹ֤ר יְהוֹרָם֙ עִם שָׂרָ֔יו וְכָל הָרֶ֖כֶב עִמּ֑וֹ וַיְהִי֙ קָ֣ם לַ֔יְלָה וַיַּ֗ךְ אֶת אֱדוֹם֙ הַסּוֹבֵ֣ב אֵלָ֔יו וְאֵ֖ת שָׂרֵ֥י הָרָֽכֶב

and to pass over · Jehoram · with · princes his · and all of · the chariot · with him · and to be · rising · night · and to strike · - · Edom · the turning around · to him · and - · princes of · the chariot

וַיִּפְשַׁ֨ע אֱד֜וֹם מִתַּ֣חַת יַד יְהוּדָ֗ה עַ֚ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה אָ֣ז תִּפְשַׁ֥ע לִבְנָ֛ה בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִ֖יא מִתַּ֣חַת יָד֑וֹ כִּ֣י עָזַ֔ב אֶת יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבֹתָֽיו

גַּם ה֥וּא עָשָֽׂה בָמ֖וֹת בְּהָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֶּ֨זֶן֙ אֶת יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם וַיַּדַּ֖ח אֶת יְהוּדָֽה

וַיָּבֹ֤א אֵלָיו֙ מִכְתָּ֔ב מֵֽאֵלִיָּ֥הוּ הַנָּבִ֖יא לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּ֣ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אֱלֹהֵי֙ דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֔יךָ תַּ֗חַת אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא הָלַ֨כְתָּ֙ בְּדַרְכֵי֙ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט אָבִ֔יךָ וּבְדַרְכֵ֖י אָסָ֥א מֶֽלֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה

and to enter · to him · writing · from Elijah · the prophet · to say · thus · to say · LORD · God(s) of · David · father your · under · which · not · to walk · in/at ways of · Jehoshaphat · father your · and in/at ways of · Asa · king of · Judah

וַתֵּ֗לֶךְ בְּדֶ֨רֶךְ֙ מַלְכֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַתַּזְנֶ֤ה אֶת יְהוּדָה֙ וְאֶת יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם כְּהַזְנ֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית אַחְאָ֑ב וְגַ֨ם אֶת אַחֶ֧יךָ בֵית אָבִ֛יךָ הַטּוֹבִ֥ים מִמְּךָ֖ הָרָֽגְתָּ

and to walk · in/at way of · kings of · Israel · and to commit fornication · - · Judah · and - · dwelling · Jerusalem · like/as to commit fornication · house of · Ahab · and also · - · brothers your · house of · father your · the good · from you · to kill

הִנֵּ֣ה יְהוָ֗ה נֹגֵ֛ף מַגֵּפָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה בְּעַמֶּ֑ךָ וּבְבָנֶ֥יךָ וּבְנָשֶׁ֖יךָ וּבְכָל רְכוּשֶֽׁךָ

behold · LORD · striking · plague · great · in/at people your · and in/at sons your · and in/at women your · and in/at all of · property your

וְאַתָּ֛ה בָּחֳלָיִ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים בְּמַחֲלֵ֣ה מֵעֶ֑יךָ עַד יֵצְא֤וּ מֵעֶ֨יךָ֙ מִן הַחֹ֔לִי יָמִ֖ים עַל יָמִֽים

and you · in/at sicknesses · many · in/at disease of · bowels your · until · to go out · bowels your · from · the sickness · days · upon · days

וַיָּ֨עַר יְהוָ֜ה עַל יְהוֹרָ֗ם אֵ֣ת ר֤וּחַ הַפְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ וְהָ֣עַרְבִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל יַ֥ד כּוּשִֽׁים

and to awake · LORD · upon · Jehoram · - · spirit of · the Philistines · and the Arabians · which · upon · hand of · Cushites

וַיַּעֲל֤וּ בִֽיהוּדָה֙ וַיִּבְקָע֔וּהָ וַיִּשְׁבּ֗וּ אֵ֤ת כָּל הָרְכוּשׁ֙ הַנִּמְצָ֣א לְבֵית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְגַם בָּנָ֖יו וְנָשָׁ֑יו וְלֹ֤א נִשְׁאַר לוֹ֙ בֵּ֔ן כִּ֥י אִם יְהוֹאָחָ֖ז קְטֹ֥ן בָּנָֽיו

and to go up · in/at Judah · and to split her · and to capture · - · all of · the property · the finding · to/for house of · the king · and also · sons his · and women his · and not · to remain · to/for him · son · that · if · Jehoahaz · small of · sons his

וְאַחֲרֵ֖י כָּל זֹ֑את נְגָפ֨וֹ יְהוָ֧ה בְּמֵעָ֛יו לָחֳלִ֖י לְאֵ֥ין מַרְפֵּֽא

and after · all of · this · to strike him · LORD · in/at bowels his · to/for sickness · to/for nothing · healing

וַיְהִ֣י לְיָמִ֣ים מִיָּמִ֡ים וּכְעֵת֩ צֵ֨את הַקֵּ֜ץ לְיָמִ֣ים שְׁנַ֗יִם יָצְא֤וּ מֵעָיו֙ עִם חָלְי֔וֹ וַיָּ֖מָת בְּתַחֲלֻאִ֣ים רָעִ֑ים וְלֹא עָ֨שׂוּ ל֥וֹ עַמּ֛וֹ שְׂרֵפָ֖ה כִּשְׂרֵפַ֥ת אֲבֹתָֽיו

בֶּן שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וּשְׁתַּ֨יִם֙ הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכ֔וֹ וּשְׁמוֹנֶ֣ה שָׁנִ֔ים מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ֙ בְּלֹ֣א חֶמְדָּ֔ה וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֨הוּ֙ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֔יד וְלֹ֖א בְּקִבְר֥וֹת הַמְּלָכִֽים
