1 Kings 19

וַיַּגֵּ֤ד אַחְאָב֙ לְאִיזֶ֔בֶל אֵ֛ת כָּל אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה אֵלִיָּ֑הוּ וְאֵ֨ת כָּל אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָרַ֛ג אֶת כָּל הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים בֶּחָֽרֶב

and to make known · Ahab · to/for Jezebel · - · all of · which · to do · Elijah · and - · all of · which · to kill · - · all of · the prophets · in/at the sword

וַתִּשְׁלַ֤ח אִיזֶ֨בֶל֙ מַלְאָ֔ךְ אֶל אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּֽה יַעֲשׂ֤וּן אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִפ֔וּן כִּֽי כָעֵ֤ת מָחָר֙ אָשִׂ֣ים אֶֽת נַפְשְׁךָ֔ כְּנֶ֖פֶשׁ אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם

and to send · Jezebel · messenger · to · Elijah · to say · thus · to do · God(s) · and thus · to add · that · like/as the time · tomorrow · to put · - · soul your · like/as soul · one · from them

וַיַּ֗רְא וַיָּ֨קָם֙ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אֶל נַפְשׁ֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֕א בְּאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה וַיַּנַּ֥ח אֶֽת נַעֲר֖וֹ שָֽׁם

and to see · and to rise · and to walk · to · soul his · and to enter · Beer-sheba · Beer-sheba · which · to/for Judah · and to rest · - · boy his · there

וְהֽוּא הָלַ֤ךְ בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ י֔וֹם וַיָּבֹ֕א וַיֵּ֕שֶׁב תַּ֖חַת רֹ֣תֶם אחת אֶחָ֑ד וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל אֶת נַפְשׁוֹ֙ לָמ֔וּת וַיֹּ֣אמֶר רַ֗ב עַתָּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ קַ֣ח נַפְשִׁ֔י כִּֽי לֹא ט֥וֹב אָנֹכִ֖י מֵאֲבֹתָֽי

וַיִּשְׁכַּב֙ וַיִּישַׁ֔ן תַּ֖חַת רֹ֣תֶם אֶחָ֑ד וְהִנֵּֽה זֶ֤ה מַלְאָךְ֙ נֹגֵ֣עַ בּ֔וֹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ ק֥וּם אֱכֽוֹל

and to lie down · and to sleep · under · broom · one · and behold · this · messenger · touching · in/at him · and to say · to/for him · rise · eat

וַיַּבֵּ֕ט וְהִנֵּ֧ה מְרַאֲשֹׁתָ֛יו עֻגַ֥ת רְצָפִ֖ים וְצַפַּ֣חַת מָ֑יִם וַיֹּ֣אכַל וַיֵּ֔שְׁתְּ וַיָּ֖שָׁב וַיִּשְׁכָּֽב

and to look · and behold · head place his · cake of · hot stones · and jar of · water(s) · and to eat · and to drink · and to return · and to lie down

וַיָּשָׁב֩ מַלְאַ֨ךְ יְהוָ֤ה שֵׁנִית֙ וַיִּגַּע בּ֔וֹ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר ק֣וּם אֱכֹ֑ל כִּ֛י רַ֥ב מִמְּךָ֖ הַדָּֽרֶךְ

and to return · messenger of · LORD · second · and to touch · in/at him · and to say · rise · eat · that · many · from you · the way

וַיָּ֖קָם וַיֹּ֣אכַל וַיִּשְׁתֶּ֑ה וַיֵּ֜לֶךְ בְּכֹ֣חַ הָאֲכִילָ֣ה הַהִ֗יא אַרְבָּעִ֥ים יוֹם֙ וְאַרְבָּעִ֣ים לַ֔יְלָה עַ֛ד הַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים חֹרֵֽב

and to rise · and to eat · and to drink · and to walk · in/at strength of · the food · the he · forty · day · and forty · night · until · mountain of · the God(s) · Horeb

וַיָּבֹא שָׁ֥ם אֶל הַמְּעָרָ֖ה וַיָּ֣לֶן שָׁ֑ם וְהִנֵּ֤ה דְבַר יְהוָה֙ אֵלָ֔יו וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ מַה לְּךָ֥ פֹ֖ה אֵלִיָּֽהוּ

and to enter · there · to · the cave · and to lodge · there · and behold · word of · LORD · to him · and to say · to/for him · what · to/for you · here · Elijah

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ קַנֹּ֨א קִנֵּ֜אתִי לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י צְבָא֗וֹת כִּֽי עָזְב֤וּ בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ הָרָ֔סוּ וְאֶת נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ הָרְג֣וּ בֶחָ֑רֶב וָֽאִוָּתֵ֤ר אֲנִי֙ לְבַדִּ֔י וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת נַפְשִׁ֖י לְקַחְתָּֽהּ

and to say · to envy · to envy · to/for LORD · God(s) of · armies · that · to leave · covenant your · sons of · Israel · - · altars your · to tear down · and - · prophets your · to kill · in/at the sword · and to remain · I · to/for apart my · and to seek · - · soul my · to take her

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר צֵ֣א וְעָמַדְתָּ֣ בָהָר֮ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וְהִנֵּ֧ה יְהוָ֣ה עֹבֵ֗ר וְר֣וּחַ גְּדוֹלָ֡ה וְחָזָ֞ק מְפָרֵק֩ הָרִ֨ים וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר סְלָעִים֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א בָר֖וּחַ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֤ר הָר֨וּחַ רַ֔עַשׁ לֹ֥א בָרַ֖עַשׁ יְהוָֽה

and to say · go out · and to stand · in/at the mountain · to/for face(s) of · LORD · and behold · LORD · passing over · and spirit · great · and strong · tearing away · mountains · and breaking · rocks · to/for face(s) of · LORD · not · in/at the spirit · LORD · and after · the spirit · earthquake · not · in/at the earthquake · LORD

וְאַחַ֤ר הָרַ֨עַשׁ֙ אֵ֔שׁ לֹ֥א בָאֵ֖שׁ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֣ר הָאֵ֔שׁ ק֖וֹל דְּמָמָ֥ה דַקָּֽה

and after · the earthquake · fire · not · in/at the fire · LORD · and after · the fire · voice of · whisper · thin

וַיְהִ֣י כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ וַיָּ֤לֶט פָּנָיו֙ בְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹ וַיֵּצֵ֕א וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד פֶּ֣תַח הַמְּעָרָ֑ה וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֵלָיו֙ ק֔וֹל וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מַה לְּךָ֥ פֹ֖ה אֵלִיָּֽהוּ

and to be · like/as to hear · Elijah · and to wrap · face(s) his · in/at glory his · and to go out · and to stand · doorway of · the cave · and behold · to him · voice · and to say · what · to/for you · here · Elijah

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ קַנֹּ֨א קִנֵּ֜אתִי לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י צְבָא֗וֹת כִּֽי עָזְב֤וּ בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ הָרָ֔סוּ וְאֶת נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ הָרְג֣וּ בֶחָ֑רֶב וָאִוָּתֵ֤ר אֲנִי֙ לְבַדִּ֔י וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת נַפְשִׁ֖י לְקַחְתָּֽהּ

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלָ֔יו לֵ֛ךְ שׁ֥וּב לְדַרְכְּךָ֖ מִדְבַּ֣רָה דַמָּ֑שֶׂק וּבָ֗אתָ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧ אֶת חֲזָאֵ֛ל לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל אֲרָֽם

and to say · LORD · to him · walk · return · to/for way your · wilderness toward · Damascus · and to enter · and to anoint · - · Hazael · to/for king · upon · Aram

וְאֵת֙ יֵה֣וּא בֶן נִמְשִׁ֔י תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֶת אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן שָׁפָט֙ מֵאָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְנָבִ֖יא תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ

and - · Jehu · son of · Nimshi · to anoint · to/for king · upon · Israel · and - · Elisha · son of · Shaphat · from Abel Meholah · Abel Meholah · to anoint · to/for prophet · under you

וְהָיָ֗ה הַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב חֲזָאֵ֖ל יָמִ֣ית יֵה֑וּא וְהַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב יֵה֖וּא יָמִ֥ית אֱלִישָֽׁע

and to be · the escaping · from sword of · Hazael · to die · Jehu · and the escaping · from sword of · Jehu · to die · Elisha

וְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥י בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֑ים כָּל הַבִּרְכַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא כָֽרְעוּ֙ לַבַּ֔עַל וְכָ֨ל הַפֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא נָשַׁ֖ק לֽוֹ

and to remain · in/at Israel · seven · thousand · all of · the knees · which · not · to bow · to/for the Baal · and all of · the mouth · which · not · to kiss · to/for him

וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ מִ֠שָּׁם וַיִּמְצָ֞א אֶת אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן שָׁפָט֙ וְה֣וּא חֹרֵ֔שׁ שְׁנֵים עָשָׂ֤ר צְמָדִים֙ לְפָנָ֔יו וְה֖וּא בִּשְׁנֵ֣ים הֶעָשָׂ֑ר וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ֙ אֵלָ֔יו וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ אֵלָֽיו

and to walk · from there · and to find · - · Elisha · son of · Shaphat · and he · ploughing · two · teen · yokes · to/for face(s) his · and he · in/at two · the teen · and to pass over · Elijah · to him · and to throw · glory his · to him

וַיַּעֲזֹ֣ב אֶת הַבָּקָ֗ר וַיָּ֨רָץ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י אֵֽלִיָּ֔הוּ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אֶשְּׁקָה נָּא֙ לְאָבִ֣י וּלְאִמִּ֔י וְאֵלְכָ֖ה אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ לֵ֣ךְ שׁ֔וּב כִּ֥י מֶה עָשִׂ֖יתִי לָֽךְ

and to leave · - · the cattle · and to run · after · Elijah · and to say · to kiss · please · to/for father my · and to/for mother my · and to walk · after you · and to say · to/for him · walk · return · that · what · to do · to/for you

וַיָּ֨שָׁב מֵאַחֲרָ֜יו וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת צֶ֧מֶד הַבָּקָ֣ר וַיִּזְבָּחֵ֗הוּ וּבִכְלִ֤י הַבָּקָר֙ בִּשְּׁלָ֣ם הַבָּשָׂ֔ר וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָעָ֖ם וַיֹּאכֵ֑לוּ וַיָּ֗קָם וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֥י אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ וַיְשָׁרְתֵֽהוּ

and to return · from after him · and to take · - · yoke of · the cattle · and to sacrifice him · and in/at vessel of · the cattle · to boil them · the flesh · and to give · to/for the people · and to eat · and to rise · and to walk · after · Elijah · and to minister him
