Joshua 3

וַיַּשְׁכֵּם֩ יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ בַּבֹּ֜קֶר וַיִּסְע֣וּ מֵֽהַשִּׁטִּ֗ים וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ֙ עַד הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן ה֖וּא וְכָל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיָּלִ֥נוּ שָׁ֖ם טֶ֥רֶם יַעֲבֹֽרוּ

and to rise early · Joshua · in/at the morning · and to journey · from the Shittim · and to enter · until · the Jordan · he · and all of · sons of · Israel · and to lodge · there · before · to pass over

וַיְהִ֕י מִקְצֵ֖ה שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים וַיַּעַבְר֥וּ הַשֹּׁטְרִ֖ים בְּקֶ֥רֶב הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה

and to be · from end of · three · days · and to pass over · the officers · in/at midst of · the camp

וַיְצַוּוּ֮ אֶת הָעָ֣ם לֵאמֹר֒ כִּרְאֽוֹתְכֶ֗ם אֵ֣ת אֲר֤וֹן בְּרִית יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם נֹשְׂאִ֖ים אֹת֑וֹ וְאַתֶּ֗ם תִּסְעוּ֙ מִמְּק֣וֹמְכֶ֔ם וַהֲלַכְתֶּ֖ם אַחֲרָֽיו

and to command · - · the people · to say · like/as to see you · - · ark of · covenant of · LORD · God(s) your · and the priests · the Levites · lifting · - him · and you · to journey · from place your · and to walk · after him

אַ֣ךְ רָח֣וֹק יִהְיֶ֗ה בֵּֽינֵיכֶם֙ ובינו וּבֵינָ֔יו כְּאַלְפַּ֥יִם אַמָּ֖ה בַּמִּדָּ֑ה אַֽל תִּקְרְב֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו לְמַ֤עַן אֲשֶׁר תֵּֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת הַדֶּ֨רֶךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֵּֽלְכוּ בָ֔הּ כִּ֣י לֹ֧א עֲבַרְתֶּ֛ם בַּדֶּ֖רֶךְ מִתְּמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם

surely · far · to be · between you · and between him · and between him · like/as thousand · cubit · in/at the measure · not · to approach · to him · for the sake of · which · to know · - · the way · which · to walk · in/at her · that · not · to pass over · in/at the way · from formerly · heretofore

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ אֶל הָעָ֖ם הִתְקַדָּ֑שׁוּ כִּ֣י מָחָ֗ר יַעֲשֶׂ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֖ם נִפְלָאֽוֹת

and to say · Joshua · to · the people · consecrate · that · tomorrow · to do · LORD · in/at midst your · being wonderful

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ֙ אֶל הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים לֵאמֹ֔ר שְׂאוּ֙ אֶת אֲר֣וֹן הַבְּרִ֔ית וְעִבְר֖וּ לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ אֶת אֲר֣וֹן הַבְּרִ֔ית וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י הָעָֽם

and to say · Joshua · to · the priests · to say · lift · - · ark of · the covenant · and pass over · to/for face(s) of · the people · and to lift · - · ark of · the covenant · and to walk · to/for face(s) of · the people

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה אָחֵל֙ גַּדֶּלְךָ֔ בְּעֵינֵ֖י כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲשֶׁר֙ יֵֽדְע֔וּן כִּ֗י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיִ֛יתִי עִם מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶהְיֶ֥ה עִמָּֽךְ

וְאַתָּ֗ה תְּצַוֶּה֙ אֶת הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים נֹשְׂאֵ֥י אֲרֽוֹן הַבְּרִ֖ית לֵאמֹ֑ר כְּבֹאֲכֶ֗ם עַד קְצֵה֙ מֵ֣י הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן בַּיַּרְדֵּ֖ן תַּעֲמֹֽדוּ

and you · to command · - · the priests · lifting · ark of · the covenant · to say · like/as to enter you · until · end of · water(s) of · the Jordan · in/at the Jordan · to stand

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל גֹּ֣שׁוּ הֵ֔נָּה וְשִׁמְע֕וּ אֶת דִּבְרֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם

and to say · Joshua · to · sons of · Israel · approach · here · and hear · - · words of · LORD · God(s) your

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ בְּזֹאת֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן כִּ֛י אֵ֥ל חַ֖י בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וְהוֹרֵ֣שׁ יוֹרִ֣ישׁ מִ֠פְּנֵיכֶם אֶת הַכְּנַעֲנִ֨י וְאֶת הַחִתִּ֜י וְאֶת הַחִוִּ֗י וְאֶת הַפְּרִזִּי֙ וְאֶת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁ֔י וְהָאֱמֹרִ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִֽי

הִנֵּה֙ אֲר֣וֹן הַבְּרִ֔ית אֲד֖וֹן כָּל הָאָ֑רֶץ עֹבֵ֥ר לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן

behold · ark of · the covenant · lord of · all of · the land · passing over · to/for face(s) your · in/at the Jordan

וְעַתָּ֗ה קְח֤וּ לָכֶם֙ שְׁנֵ֣י עָשָׂ֣ר אִ֔ישׁ מִשִּׁבְטֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אִישׁ אֶחָ֥ד אִישׁ אֶחָ֖ד לַשָּֽׁבֶט

and now · take · to/for you · two · teen · man · from staffs of · Israel · man · one · man · one · to/for the staff

וְהָיָ֡ה כְּנ֣וֹחַ כַּפּ֣וֹת רַגְלֵ֣י הַכֹּהֲנִ֡ים נֹשְׂאֵי֩ אֲר֨וֹן יְהוָ֜ה אֲד֤וֹן כָּל הָאָ֨רֶץ֙ בְּמֵ֣י הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן מֵ֤י הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ יִכָּ֣רֵת֔וּן הַמַּ֥יִם הַיֹּרְדִ֖ים מִלְמָ֑עְלָה וְיַעַמְד֖וּ נֵ֥ד אֶחָֽד

and to be · like/as to rest · palms of · feet of · the priests · lifting · ark of · LORD · lord of · all of · the land · in/at water(s) of · the Jordan · water(s) of · the Jordan · to cut · the water(s) · the going down · from to/for above toward · and to stand · heap · one

וַיְהִ֗י בִּנְסֹ֤עַ הָעָם֙ מֵאָ֣הֳלֵיהֶ֔ם לַעֲבֹ֖ר אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים נֹֽשְׂאֵ֛י הָאָר֥וֹן הַבְּרִ֖ית לִפְנֵ֥י הָעָֽם

and to be · in/at to journey · the people · from tents their · to pass over · - · the Jordan · and the priests · lifting · the ark · the covenant · to/for face(s) of · the people

וּכְב֞וֹא נֹשְׂאֵ֤י הָֽאָרוֹן֙ עַד הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן וְרַגְלֵ֤י הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ נֹשְׂאֵ֣י הָֽאָר֔וֹן נִטְבְּל֖וּ בִּקְצֵ֣ה הַמָּ֑יִם וְהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן מָלֵא֙ עַל כָּל גְּדוֹתָ֔יו כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י קָצִֽיר

and like/as to enter · lifting · the ark · until · the Jordan · and feet of · the priests · lifting · the ark · to dip · in/at end of · the water(s) · and the Jordan · to fill · upon · all of · river banks his · all of · days of · harvest

וַיַּעַמְד֡וּ הַמַּיִם֩ הַיֹּרְדִ֨ים מִלְמַ֜עְלָה קָ֣מוּ נֵד אֶחָ֗ד הַרְחֵ֨ק מְאֹ֜ד באדם מֵֽאָדָ֤ם הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ מִצַּ֣ד צָֽרְתָ֔ן וְהַיֹּרְדִ֗ים עַ֣ל יָ֧ם הָעֲרָבָ֛ה יָם הַמֶּ֖לַח תַּ֣מּוּ נִכְרָ֑תוּ וְהָעָ֥ם עָבְר֖וּ נֶ֥גֶד יְרִיחֽוֹ

and to stand · the water(s) · the going down · from to/for above toward · to rise · heap · one · to be far · exceedingly · in/at the Adam · from Adam · the city · which · from side of · Zarthan · and the going down · upon · sea of · the wilderness · sea of · the salt · to be complete · to cut · and the people · to pass over · before · Jericho

וַיַּעַמְד֣וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֡ים נֹ֠שְׂאֵי הָאָר֨וֹן בְּרִית יְהוָ֜ה בֶּחָֽרָבָ֛ה בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן הָכֵ֑ן וְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל עֹֽבְרִים֙ בֶּחָ֣רָבָ֔ה עַ֤ד אֲשֶׁר תַּ֨מּוּ֙ כָּל הַגּ֔וֹי לַעֲבֹ֖ר אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּֽן

and to stand · the priests · lifting · the ark · covenant of · LORD · in/at the dry land · in/at midst of · the Jordan · to be established · and all of · Israel · passing over · in/at the dry land · until · which · to be complete · all of · the nation · to pass over · - · the Jordan
