Zechariah 7

וַֽיְהִי֙ בִּשְׁנַ֣ת אַרְבַּ֔ע לְדָרְיָ֖וֶשׁ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ הָיָ֨ה דְבַר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל זְכַרְיָ֗ה בְּאַרְבָּעָ֛ה לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁעִ֖י בְּכִסְלֵֽו

וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ בֵּֽית אֵ֔ל שַׂר אֶ֕צֶר וְרֶ֥גֶם מֶ֖לֶךְ וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֑יו לְחַלּ֖וֹת אֶת פְּנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה

לֵאמֹ֗ר אֶל הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ לְבֵית יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וְאֶל הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים לֵאמֹ֑ר הַֽאֶבְכֶּה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַחֲמִשִׁ֔י הִנָּזֵ֕ר כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔יתִי זֶ֖ה כַּמֶּ֥ה שָׁנִֽים

וַיְהִ֛י דְּבַר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר

אֱמֹר֙ אֶל כָּל עַ֣ם הָאָ֔רֶץ וְאֶל הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים לֵאמֹ֑ר כִּֽי צַמְתֶּ֨ם וְסָפ֜וֹד בַּחֲמִישִׁ֣י וּבַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י וְזֶה֙ שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה הֲצ֥וֹם צַמְתֻּ֖נִי אָֽנִי

say · to · all of · people of · the land · and to · the priests · to say · that · to fast · and to wail · in/at fifth · and in/at the seventh · and this · seventy · year · to fast · to fast me · I

וְכִ֥י תֹאכְל֖וּ וְכִ֣י תִשְׁתּ֑וּ הֲל֤וֹא אַתֶּם֙ הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים וְאַתֶּ֖ם הַשֹּׁתִֽים

and that · to eat · and that · to drink · not · you · the eating · and you · the drinking

הֲל֣וֹא אֶת הַדְּבָרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר קָרָ֤א יְהוָה֙ בְּיַד֙ הַנְּבִיאִ֣ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֔ים בִּהְי֤וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֨ם֙ יֹשֶׁ֣בֶת וּשְׁלֵוָ֔ה וְעָרֶ֖יהָ סְבִיבֹתֶ֑יהָ וְהַנֶּ֥גֶב וְהַשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה יֹשֵֽׁב

וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל זְכַרְיָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר

and to be · word of · LORD · to · Zechariah · to say

כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת לֵאמֹ֑ר מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֱמֶת֙ שְׁפֹ֔טוּ וְחֶ֣סֶד וְרַֽחֲמִ֔ים עֲשׂ֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ אֶת אָחִֽיו

thus · to say · LORD · armies · to say · judgment of · faithfulness · judge · and kindness · and compassion · do · man · with · brother his

וְאַלְמָנָ֧ה וְיָת֛וֹם גֵּ֥ר וְעָנִ֖י אַֽל תַּעֲשֹׁ֑קוּ וְרָעַת֙ אִ֣ישׁ אָחִ֔יו אַֽל תַּחְשְׁב֖וּ בִּלְבַבְכֶֽם

and widow · and orphan · sojourner · and poor · not · to oppress · and evil of · man · brother his · not · to think · in/at heart your

וַיְמָאֲנ֣וּ לְהַקְשִׁ֔יב וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ כָתֵ֖ף סֹרָ֑רֶת וְאָזְנֵיהֶ֖ם הִכְבִּ֥ידוּ מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ

and to refuse · to hear · and to give · shoulder · rebelling · and ears their · to be heavy · from to hear

וְלִבָּ֞ם שָׂ֣מוּ שָׁמִ֗יר מִ֠שְּׁמוֹעַ אֶת הַתּוֹרָ֤ה וְאֶת הַדְּבָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁלַ֜ח יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ בְּרוּח֔וֹ בְּיַ֖ד הַנְּבִיאִ֣ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֑ים וַֽיְהִי֙ קֶ֣צֶף גָּד֔וֹל מֵאֵ֖ת יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

and heart their · to put · thorn · from to hear · - · the law · and - · the words · which · to send · LORD · armies · in/at spirit his · in/at hand of · the prophets · the first · and to be · wrath · great · from with · LORD · armies

וַיְהִ֥י כַאֲשֶׁר קָרָ֖א וְלֹ֣א שָׁמֵ֑עוּ כֵּ֤ן יִקְרְאוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א אֶשְׁמָ֔ע אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

and to be · like/as which · to call · and not · to hear · thus · to call · and not · to hear · to say · LORD · armies

וְאֵ֣סָעֲרֵ֗ם עַ֤ל כָּל הַגּוֹיִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא יְדָע֔וּם וְהָאָ֨רֶץ֙ נָשַׁ֣מָּה אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם מֵֽעֹבֵ֖ר וּמִשָּׁ֑ב וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ אֶֽרֶץ חֶמְדָּ֖ה לְשַׁמָּֽה

and to storm them · upon · all of · the nations · which · not · to know them · and the land · desolation · after them · from passing over · and from returning · and to put · land of · desirable · to/for desolation
