הִנְנִ֤י שֹׁלֵחַ֙ מַלְאָכִ֔י וּפִנָּה דֶ֖רֶךְ לְפָנָ֑י וּפִתְאֹם֩ יָב֨וֹא אֶל הֵיכָל֜וֹ הָאָד֣וֹן אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּ֣ם מְבַקְשִׁ֗ים וּמַלְאַ֨ךְ הַבְּרִ֜ית אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּ֤ם חֲפֵצִים֙ הִנֵּה בָ֔א אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

behold me · sending · messenger my · and to turn · way · to/for face(s) my · and suddenly · to enter · to · temple his · the lord · which · you · seeking · and messenger of · the covenant · which · you · delighting · behold · entering · to say · LORD · armies

וּמִ֤י מְכַלְכֵּל֙ אֶת י֣וֹם בּוֹא֔וֹ וּמִ֥י הָעֹמֵ֖ד בְּהֵרָֽאוֹת֑וֹ כִּֽי הוּא֙ כְּאֵ֣שׁ מְצָרֵ֔ף וּכְבֹרִ֖ית מְכַבְּסִֽים

וְיָשַׁ֨ב מְצָרֵ֤ף וּמְטַהֵר֙ כֶּ֔סֶף וְטִהַ֤ר אֶת בְּנֵֽי לֵוִי֙ וְזִקַּ֣ק אֹתָ֔ם כַּזָּהָ֖ב וְכַכָּ֑סֶף וְהָיוּ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה מַגִּישֵׁ֥י מִנְחָ֖ה בִּצְדָקָֽה

and to dwell · refining · and cleansing · silver · and to cleanse · - · sons of · Levi · and to purify · - them · like/as the gold · and like/as the silver · and to be · to/for LORD · approaching · offering · in/at righteousness

וְעָֽרְבָה֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה מִנְחַ֥ת יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם כִּימֵ֣י עוֹלָ֔ם וּכְשָׁנִ֖ים קַדְמֹנִיּֽוֹת

and to be pleasant · to/for LORD · offering of · Judah · and Jerusalem · like/as days of · forever · and like/as years · ancient

וְקָרַבְתִּ֣י אֲלֵיכֶם֮ לַמִּשְׁפָּט֒ וְהָיִ֣יתִי עֵ֣ד מְמַהֵ֗ר בַּֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙ וּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔ים וּבַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים לַשָּׁ֑קֶר וּבְעֹשְׁקֵ֣י שְׂכַר שָׂ֠כִיר אַלְמָנָ֨ה וְיָת֤וֹם וּמַטֵּי גֵר֙ וְלֹ֣א יְרֵא֔וּנִי אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

and to approach · to you · to/for the judgment · and to be · witness · hastening · in/at the practicing witchcraft · and in/at the committing adultery · and in/at the swearing · to/for the lie · and in/at oppressing · wages of · hired laborer · widow · and orphan · and stretching out · sojourner · and not · to fear me · to say · LORD · armies

כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א שָׁנִ֑יתִי וְאַתֶּ֥ם בְּנֵֽי יַעֲקֹ֖ב לֹ֥א כְלִיתֶֽם

לְמִימֵ֨י אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֜ם סַרְתֶּ֤ם מֵֽחֻקַּי֙ וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם שׁ֤וּבוּ אֵלַי֙ וְאָשׁ֣וּבָה אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בַּמֶּ֥ה נָשֽׁוּב

הֲיִקְבַּ֨ע אָדָ֜ם אֱלֹהִ֗ים כִּ֤י אַתֶּם֙ קֹבְעִ֣ים אֹתִ֔י וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בַּמֶּ֣ה קְבַעֲנ֑וּךָ הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֖ר וְהַתְּרוּמָֽה

to rob · man · God(s) · that · you · robbing · - me · and to say · in/at what · to rob you · the tithe · and the offering

בַּמְּאֵרָה֙ אַתֶּ֣ם נֵֽאָרִ֔ים וְאֹתִ֖י אַתֶּ֣ם קֹבְעִ֑ים הַגּ֖וֹי כֻּלּֽוֹ

הָבִ֨יאוּ אֶת כָּל הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֜ר אֶל בֵּ֣ית הָאוֹצָ֗ר וִיהִ֥י טֶ֨רֶף֙ בְּבֵיתִ֔י וּבְחָנ֤וּנִי נָא֙ בָּזֹ֔את אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת אִם לֹ֧א אֶפְתַּ֣ח לָכֶ֗ם אֵ֚ת אֲרֻבּ֣וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַהֲרִיקֹתִ֥י לָכֶ֛ם בְּרָכָ֖ה עַד בְּלִי דָֽי

וְגָעַרְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ בָּֽאֹכֵ֔ל וְלֹֽא יַשְׁחִ֥ת לָכֶ֖ם אֶת פְּרִ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וְלֹא תְשַׁכֵּ֨ל לָכֶ֤ם הַגֶּ֨פֶן֙ בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

and to rebuke · to/for you · in/at the eating · and not · to destroy · to/for you · - · fruit of · the ground · and not · to be bereaved · to/for you · the vine · in/at the field · to say · LORD · armies

וְאִשְּׁר֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֖ם כָּל הַגּוֹיִ֑ם כִּֽי תִהְי֤וּ אַתֶּם֙ אֶ֣רֶץ חֵ֔פֶץ אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

and to go straight · - you · all of · the nations · that · to be · you · land of · delight · to say · LORD · armies

חָזְק֥וּ עָלַ֛י דִּבְרֵיכֶ֖ם אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם מַה נִּדְבַּ֖רְנוּ עָלֶֽיךָ

to strengthen · upon me · words your · to say · LORD · and to say · what · to speak · upon you

אֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם שָׁ֖וְא עֲבֹ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֑ים וּמַה בֶּ֗צַע כִּ֤י שָׁמַ֨רְנוּ֙ מִשְׁמַרְתּ֔וֹ וְכִ֤י הָלַ֨כְנוּ֙ קְדֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית מִפְּנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת

to say · vanity · to serve · God(s) · and what · unjust gain · that · to keep · guard his · and that · to walk · mournfully · from face(s) of · LORD · armies

וְעַתָּ֕ה אֲנַ֖חְנוּ מְאַשְּׁרִ֣ים זֵדִ֑ים גַּם נִבְנוּ֙ עֹשֵׂ֣י רִשְׁעָ֔ה גַּ֧ם בָּחֲנ֛וּ אֱלֹהִ֖ים וַיִּמָּלֵֽטוּ

and now · we · going straight · arrogant · also · to build · doing · wickedness · also · to test · God(s) · and to escape

אָ֧ז נִדְבְּר֛וּ יִרְאֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ אֶת רֵעֵ֑הוּ וַיַּקְשֵׁ֤ב יְהוָה֙ וַיִּשְׁמָ֔ע וַ֠יִּכָּתֵב סֵ֣פֶר זִכָּר֤וֹן לְפָנָיו֙ לְיִרְאֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּלְחֹשְׁבֵ֖י שְׁמֽוֹ

וְהָ֣יוּ לִ֗י אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת לַיּ֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י עֹשֶׂ֣ה סְגֻלָּ֑ה וְחָמַלְתִּ֣י עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ יַחְמֹ֣ל אִ֔ישׁ עַל בְּנ֖וֹ הָעֹבֵ֥ד אֹתֽוֹ

וְשַׁבְתֶּם֙ וּרְאִיתֶ֔ם בֵּ֥ין צַדִּ֖יק לְרָשָׁ֑ע בֵּ֚ין עֹבֵ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֔ים לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א עֲבָדֽוֹ

and to return · and to see · between · righteous · to/for wicked · between · serving · God(s) · to/for which · not · to serve him
