וְשָׂרַי֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת אַבְרָ֔ם לֹ֥א יָלְדָ֖ה ל֑וֹ וְלָ֛הּ שִׁפְחָ֥ה מִצְרִ֖ית וּשְׁמָ֥הּ הָגָֽר

and Sarai · woman of · Abram · not · to bear · to/for him · and to/for her · maid · Egyptian · and name her · Hagar

וַתֹּ֨אמֶר שָׂרַ֜י אֶל אַבְרָ֗ם הִנֵּה נָ֞א עֲצָרַ֤נִי יְהוָה֙ מִלֶּ֔דֶת בֹּא נָא֙ אֶל שִׁפְחָתִ֔י אוּלַ֥י אִבָּנֶ֖ה מִמֶּ֑נָּה וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע אַבְרָ֖ם לְק֥וֹל שָׂרָֽי

and to say · Sarai · to · Abram · behold · please · to restrain me · LORD · from to bear · enter · please · to · maid my · perhaps · to build · from her · and to hear · Abram · to/for voice of · Sarai

וַתִּקַּ֞ח שָׂרַ֣י אֵֽשֶׁת אַבְרָ֗ם אֶת הָגָ֤ר הַמִּצְרִית֙ שִׁפְחָתָ֔הּ מִקֵּץ֙ עֶ֣שֶׂר שָׁנִ֔ים לְשֶׁ֥בֶת אַבְרָ֖ם בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וַתִּתֵּ֥ן אֹתָ֛הּ לְאַבְרָ֥ם אִישָׁ֖הּ ל֥וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה

וַיָּבֹ֥א אֶל הָגָ֖ר וַתַּ֑הַר וַתֵּ֨רֶא֙ כִּ֣י הָרָ֔תָה וַתֵּקַ֥ל גְּבִרְתָּ֖הּ בְּעֵינֶֽיהָ

and to enter · to · Hagar · and to conceive · and to see · that · to conceive · and to be light · queen her · in/at eyes her

וַתֹּ֨אמֶר שָׂרַ֣י אֶל אַבְרָם֮ חֲמָסִ֣י עָלֶיךָ֒ אָנֹכִ֗י נָתַ֤תִּי שִׁפְחָתִי֙ בְּחֵיקֶ֔ךָ וַתֵּ֨רֶא֙ כִּ֣י הָרָ֔תָה וָאֵקַ֖ל בְּעֵינֶ֑יהָ יִשְׁפֹּ֥ט יְהוָ֖ה בֵּינִ֥י וּבֵינֶֽיׄךָ

and to say · Sarai · to · Abram · violence my · upon you · I · to give · maid my · in/at bosom your · and to see · that · to conceive · and to be light · in/at eyes her · to judge · LORD · between me · and between you

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַבְרָ֜ם אֶל שָׂרַ֗י הִנֵּ֤ה שִׁפְחָתֵךְ֙ בְּיָדֵ֔ךְ עֲשִׂי לָ֖הּ הַטּ֣וֹב בְּעֵינָ֑יִךְ וַתְּעַנֶּ֣הָ שָׂרַ֔י וַתִּבְרַ֖ח מִפָּנֶֽיהָ

and to say · Abram · to · Sarai · behold · maid your · in/at hand your · do · to/for her · the good · in/at eyes your · and to afflict her · Sarai · and to flee · from face(s) her

וַֽיִּמְצָאָ֞הּ מַלְאַ֧ךְ יְהוָ֛ה עַל עֵ֥ין הַמַּ֖יִם בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר עַל הָעַ֖יִן בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ שֽׁוּר

and to find her · messenger of · LORD · upon · eye of · the water(s) · in/at the wilderness · upon · the eye · in/at way of · Shur

וַיֹּאמַ֗ר הָגָ֞ר שִׁפְחַ֥ת שָׂרַ֛י אֵֽי מִזֶּ֥ה בָ֖את וְאָ֣נָה תֵלֵ֑כִי וַתֹּ֕אמֶר מִפְּנֵי֙ שָׂרַ֣י גְּבִרְתִּ֔י אָנֹכִ֖י בֹּרַֽחַת

and to say · Hagar · maid of · Sarai · where · from this · to enter · and where · to walk · and to say · from face(s) of · Sarai · queen my · I · fleeing

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה שׁ֖וּבִי אֶל גְּבִרְתֵּ֑ךְ וְהִתְעַנִּ֖י תַּ֥חַת יָדֶֽיהָ

and to say · to/for her · messenger of · LORD · return · to · queen your · and afflict · under · hands her

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה הַרְבָּ֥ה אַרְבֶּ֖ה אֶת זַרְעֵ֑ךְ וְלֹ֥א יִסָּפֵ֖ר מֵרֹֽב

and to say · to/for her · messenger of · LORD · to multiply · to multiply · - · seed your · and not · to count · from multitude

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה הִנָּ֥ךְ הָרָ֖ה וְיֹלַ֣דְתְּ בֵּ֑ן וְקָרָ֤את שְׁמוֹ֙ יִשְׁמָעֵ֔אל כִּֽי שָׁמַ֥ע יְהוָ֖ה אֶל עָנְיֵֽךְ

and to say · to/for her · messenger of · LORD · behold you · pregnant · and bearing · son · and to call · name his · Ishmael · that · to hear · LORD · to · affliction your

וְה֤וּא יִהְיֶה֙ פֶּ֣רֶא אָדָ֔ם יָד֣וֹ בַכֹּ֔ל וְיַ֥ד כֹּ֖ל בּ֑וֹ וְעַל פְּנֵ֥י כָל אֶחָ֖יו יִשְׁכֹּֽן

and he · to be · wild ass of · man · hand his · in/at the all · and hand of · all · in/at him · and upon · face(s) of · all of · brothers his · to dwell

וַתִּקְרָ֤א שֵׁם יְהוָה֙ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יהָ אַתָּ֖ה אֵ֣ל רֳאִ֑י כִּ֣י אָֽמְרָ֗ה הֲגַ֥ם הֲלֹ֛ם רָאִ֖יתִי אַחֲרֵ֥י רֹאִֽי

and to call · name of · LORD · the speaking · to her · you · God of · appearance · that · to say · also · here · to see · after · seeing me

עַל כֵּן֙ קָרָ֣א לַבְּאֵ֔ר בְּאֵ֥ר לַחַ֖י רֹאִ֑י הִנֵּ֥ה בֵין קָדֵ֖שׁ וּבֵ֥ין בָּֽרֶד
