בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שָׁל֔וֹשׁ לְמַלְכ֖וּת יְהוֹיָקִ֣ים מֶֽלֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה בָּ֣א נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֧ר מֶֽלֶךְ בָּבֶ֛ל יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם וַיָּ֥צַר עָלֶֽיהָ

in/at year of · three · to/for kingdom of · Jehoiakim · king of · Judah · to enter · Nebuchadnezzar · king of · Babylon · Jerusalem · and to besiege · upon her

וַיִּתֵּן֩ אֲדֹנָ֨י בְּיָד֜וֹ אֶת יְהוֹיָקִ֣ים מֶֽלֶךְ יְהוּדָ֗ה וּמִקְצָת֙ כְּלֵ֣י בֵית הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים וַיְבִיאֵ֥ם אֶֽרֶץ שִׁנְעָ֖ר בֵּ֣ית אֱלֹהָ֑יו וְאֶת הַכֵּלִ֣ים הֵבִ֔יא בֵּ֖ית אוֹצַ֥ר אֱלֹהָֽיו

and to give · Lord my · in/at hand his · - · Jehoiakim · king of · Judah · and from end of · vessels of · house of · the God(s) · and to enter them · land of · Shinar · house of · God(s) his · and - · the vessels · to enter · house of · storehouse of · God(s) his

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְאַשְׁפְּנַ֖ז רַ֣ב סָרִיסָ֑יו לְהָבִ֞יא מִבְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וּמִזֶּ֥רַע הַמְּלוּכָ֖ה וּמִן הַֽפַּרְתְּמִֽים

and to say · the king · to/for Ashpenaz · many of · eunuchs his · to enter · from sons of · Israel · and from seed of · the kingship · and from · the noblemen

יְלָדִ֣ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֵֽין בָּהֶ֣ם כָּל מאום מוּם֩ וְטוֹבֵ֨י מַרְאֶ֜ה וּמַשְׂכִּילִ֣ים בְּכָל חָכְמָ֗ה וְיֹ֤דְעֵי דַ֨עַת֙ וּמְבִינֵ֣י מַדָּ֔ע וַאֲשֶׁר֙ כֹּ֣חַ בָּהֶ֔ם לַעֲמֹ֖ד בְּהֵיכַ֣ל הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וּֽלֲלַמְּדָ֥ם סֵ֖פֶר וּלְשׁ֥וֹן כַּשְׂדִּֽים

children · which · nothing · in/at them · all of · blemish · blemish · and good of · sight · and being prudent · in/at all of · wisdom · and knowing · knowledge · and understanding · knowledge · and which · strength · in/at them · to stand · in/at temple of · the king · and to learn them · book · and tongue of · Chaldea

וַיְמַן֩ לָהֶ֨ם הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ דְּבַר י֣וֹם בְּיוֹמ֗וֹ מִפַּת בַּ֤ג הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ֙ וּמִיֵּ֣ין מִשְׁתָּ֔יו וּֽלְגַדְּלָ֖ם שָׁנִ֣ים שָׁל֑וֹשׁ וּמִ֨קְצָתָ֔ם יַֽעַמְד֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ

and to count · to/for them · the king · word of · day · in/at day his · from delicacies of · delicacies of · the king · and from wine of · feast his · and to grow them · years · three · and from end their · to stand · to/for face(s) of · the king

וַיְהִ֥י בָהֶ֖ם מִבְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה דָּנִיֵּ֣אל חֲנַנְיָ֔ה מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל וַעֲזַרְיָֽה

and to be · in/at them · from sons of · Judah · Daniel · Hananiah · Mishael · and Azariah

וַיָּ֧שֶׂם לָהֶ֛ם שַׂ֥ר הַסָּרִיסִ֖ים שֵׁמ֑וֹת וַיָּ֨שֶׂם לְדָֽנִיֵּ֜אל בֵּ֣לְטְשַׁאצַּ֗ר וְלַֽחֲנַנְיָה֙ שַׁדְרַ֔ךְ וּלְמִֽישָׁאֵ֣ל מֵישַׁ֔ךְ וְלַעֲזַרְיָ֖ה עֲבֵ֥ד נְגֽוֹ

וַיָּ֤שֶׂם דָּנִיֵּאל֙ עַל לִבּ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹֽא יִתְגָּאַ֛ל בְּפַתְבַּ֥ג הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וּבְיֵ֣ין מִשְׁתָּ֑יו וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֙ מִשַּׂ֣ר הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִתְגָּאָֽל

and to put · Daniel · upon · heart his · which · not · to defile · in/at delicacies of · the king · and in/at wine of · feast his · and to seek · from prince of · the eunuchs · which · not · to defile

וַיִּתֵּ֤ן הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת דָּ֣נִיֵּ֔אל לְחֶ֖סֶד וּֽלְרַחֲמִ֑ים לִפְנֵ֖י שַׂ֥ר הַסָּרִיסִֽים

and to give · the God(s) · - · Daniel · to/for kindness · and to/for compassion · to/for face(s) of · prince of · the eunuchs

וַיֹּ֜אמֶר שַׂ֤ר הַסָּרִיסִים֙ לְדָ֣נִיֵּ֔אל יָרֵ֤א אֲנִי֙ אֶת אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר מִנָּ֔ה אֶת מַאֲכַלְכֶ֖ם וְאֶת מִשְׁתֵּיכֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֡ר לָמָּה֩ יִרְאֶ֨ה אֶת פְּנֵיכֶ֜ם זֹֽעֲפִ֗ים מִן הַיְלָדִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר כְּגִֽילְכֶ֔ם וְחִיַּבְתֶּ֥ם אֶת רֹאשִׁ֖י לַמֶּֽלֶךְ

and to say · prince of · the eunuchs · to/for Daniel · fearing · I · - · lord my · the king · which · to count · - · food your · and - · feast your · which · to/for what · to see · - · face(s) your · being angry · from · the children · which · like/as rejoicing your · and to be guilty · - · head my · to/for the king

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר דָּנִיֵּ֖אל אֶל הַמֶּלְצַ֑ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר מִנָּה֙ שַׂ֣ר הַסָּֽרִיסִ֔ים עַל דָּנִיֵּ֣אל חֲנַנְיָ֔ה מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל וַעֲזַרְיָֽה

and to say · Daniel · to · the officer · which · to count · prince of · the eunuchs · upon · Daniel · Hananiah · Mishael · and Azariah

נַס נָ֥א אֶת עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ יָמִ֣ים עֲשָׂרָ֑ה וְיִתְּנוּ לָ֜נוּ מִן הַזֵּרֹעִ֛ים וְנֹאכְלָ֖ה וּמַ֥יִם וְנִשְׁתֶּֽה

וְיֵרָא֤וּ לְפָנֶ֨יךָ֙ מַרְאֵ֔ינוּ וּמַרְאֵה֙ הַיְלָדִ֔ים הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים אֵ֖ת פַּתְבַּ֣ג הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְכַאֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּרְאֵ֔ה עֲשֵׂ֖ה עִם עֲבָדֶֽיךָ

and to see · to/for face(s) your · sight our · and sight of · the children · the eating · - · delicacies of · the king · and like/as which · to see · do · with · servants your

וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע לָהֶ֖ם לַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וַיְנַסֵּ֖ם יָמִ֥ים עֲשָׂרָֽה

and to hear · to/for them · to/for the word · the this · and to test them · days · ten

וּמִקְצָת֙ יָמִ֣ים עֲשָׂרָ֔ה נִרְאָ֤ה מַרְאֵיהֶם֙ ט֔וֹב וּבְרִיאֵ֖י בָּשָׂ֑ר מִן כָּל הַיְלָדִ֔ים הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים אֵ֖ת פַּתְבַּ֥ג הַמֶּֽלֶךְ

and from end of · days · ten · to see · sight their · good · and fat of · flesh · from · all of · the children · the eating · - · delicacies of · the king

וַיְהִ֣י הַמֶּלְצַ֗ר נֹשֵׂא֙ אֶת פַּתְבָּגָ֔ם וְיֵ֖ין מִשְׁתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְנֹתֵ֥ן לָהֶ֖ם זֵרְעֹנִֽים

and to be · the officer · lifting · - · delicacies their · and wine of · feast their · and giving · to/for them · vegetables

וְהַיְלָדִ֤ים הָאֵ֨לֶּה֙ אַרְבַּעְתָּ֔ם נָתַ֨ן לָהֶ֧ם הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים מַדָּ֥ע וְהַשְׂכֵּ֖ל בְּכָל סֵ֣פֶר וְחָכְמָ֑ה וְדָנִיֵּ֣אל הֵבִ֔ין בְּכָל חָז֖וֹן וַחֲלֹמֽוֹת

וּלְמִקְצָת֙ הַיָּמִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר אָמַ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ לַהֲבִיאָ֑ם וַיְבִיאֵם֙ שַׂ֣ר הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים לִפְנֵ֖י נְבֻכַדְנֶצַּֽר

and to/for from end of · the days · which · to say · the king · to enter them · and to enter them · prince of · the eunuchs · to/for face(s) of · Nebuchadnezzar

וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אִתָּם֮ הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ וְלֹ֤א נִמְצָא֙ מִכֻּלָּ֔ם כְּדָנִיֵּ֣אל חֲנַנְיָ֔ה מִֽישָׁאֵ֖ל וַעֲזַרְיָ֑ה וַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ

and to speak · with them · the king · and not · to find · from all their · like/as Daniel · Hananiah · Mishael · and Azariah · and to stand · to/for face(s) of · the king

וְכֹ֗ל דְּבַר֙ חָכְמַ֣ת בִּינָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר בִּקֵּ֥שׁ מֵהֶ֖ם הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַֽיִּמְצָאֵ֞ם עֶ֣שֶׂר יָד֗וֹת עַ֤ל כָּל הַֽחַרְטֻמִּים֙ הָֽאַשָּׁפִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּכָל מַלְכוּתֽוֹ

and all of · word of · wisdom of · understanding · which · to seek · from them · the king · and to find them · ten · hands · upon · all of · the diviners · the necromancers · which · in/at all of · kingdom his

וַֽיְהִי֙ דָּֽנִיֵּ֔אל עַד שְׁנַ֥ת אַחַ֖ת לְכ֥וֹרֶשׁ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ
