Hosea 2

אִמְר֥וּ לַאֲחֵיכֶ֖ם עַמִּ֑י וְלַאֲחֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם רֻחָֽמָה

רִ֤יבוּ בְאִמְּכֶם֙ רִ֔יבוּ כִּֽי הִיא֙ לֹ֣א אִשְׁתִּ֔י וְאָנֹכִ֖י לֹ֣א אִישָׁ֑הּ וְתָסֵ֤ר זְנוּנֶ֨יהָ֙ מִפָּנֶ֔יה וְנַאֲפוּפֶ֖יהָ מִבֵּ֥ין שָׁדֶֽיהָ

contend · in/at mother your · contend · that · he · not · woman my · and I · not · man her · and to turn aside · fornication her · from face(s) her · and adulteries her · from between · breasts her

פֶּן אַפְשִׁיטֶ֣נָּה עֲרֻמָּ֔ה וְהִ֨צַּגְתִּ֔יהָ כְּי֖וֹם הִוָּֽלְדָ֑הּ וְשַׂמְתִּ֣יהָ כַמִּדְבָּ֗ר וְשַׁתִּ֨הָ֙ כְּאֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֔ה וַהֲמִתִּ֖יהָ בַּצָּמָֽא

lest · to strip her · naked · and to set her · like/as day of · to bear her · and to put her · like/as the wilderness · and to set her · like/as land · drought · and to die her · in/at the thirst

וְאֶת בָּנֶ֖יהָ לֹ֣א אֲרַחֵ֑ם כִּֽי בְנֵ֥י זְנוּנִ֖ים הֵֽמָּה

כִּ֤י זָֽנְתָה֙ אִמָּ֔ם הֹבִ֖ישָׁה הֽוֹרָתָ֑ם כִּ֣י אָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֞ה אַחֲרֵ֤י מְאַהֲבַי֙ נֹתְנֵ֤י לַחְמִי֙ וּמֵימַ֔י צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י שַׁמְנִ֖י וְשִׁקּוּיָֽי

that · to commit fornication · mother their · to dry up · conceiving them · that · to say · to walk · after · loving me · giving · bread my · and water(s) my · wool my · and linen my · fat my · and drinks my

לָכֵ֛ן הִנְנִי שָׂ֥ךְ אֶת דַּרְכֵּ֖ךְ בַּסִּירִ֑ים וְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ אֶת גְּדֵרָ֔הּ וּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָ לֹ֥א תִמְצָֽא

to/for thus · behold me · fencing · - · way your · in/at the pot · and to wall up · - · wall her · and paths her · not · to find

וְרִדְּפָ֤ה אֶת מְאַהֲבֶ֨יהָ֙ וְלֹֽא תַשִּׂ֣יג אֹתָ֔ם וּבִקְשָׁ֖תַם וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָ֑א וְאָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֤ה וְאָשׁ֨וּבָה֙ אֶל אִישִׁ֣י הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן כִּ֣י ט֥וֹב לִ֛י אָ֖ז מֵעָֽתָּה

and to pursue · - · loving her · and not · to overtake · - them · and to seek them · and not · to find · and to say · to walk · and to return · to · man my · the first · that · good · to/for me · then · from now

וְהִיא֙ לֹ֣א יָֽדְעָ֔ה כִּ֤י אָֽנֹכִי֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔הּ הַדָּגָ֖ן וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֑ר וְכֶ֨סֶף הִרְבֵּ֥יתִי לָ֛הּ וְזָהָ֖ב עָשׂ֥וּ לַבָּֽעַל

and he · not · to know · that · I · to give · to/for her · the wheat · and the wine · and the shining oil · and silver · to multiply · to/for her · and gold · to do · to/for the Baal

לָכֵ֣ן אָשׁ֔וּב וְלָקַחְתִּ֤י דְגָנִי֙ בְּעִתּ֔וֹ וְתִירוֹשִׁ֖י בְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹ וְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י לְכַסּ֖וֹת אֶת עֶרְוָתָֽהּ

to/for thus · to return · and to take · wheat my · in/at time his · and wine my · in/at appointed time his · and to rescue · wool my · and linen my · to cover · - · nakedness her

וְעַתָּ֛ה אֲגַלֶּ֥ה אֶת נַבְלֻתָ֖הּ לְעֵינֵ֣י מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ וְאִ֖ישׁ לֹֽא יַצִּילֶ֥נָּה מִיָּדִֽי

and now · to uncover · - · lewdness her · to/for eyes of · loving her · and man · not · to rescue her · from hand my

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ כָּל מְשׂוֹשָׂ֔הּ חַגָּ֖הּ חָדְשָׁ֣הּ וְשַׁבַּתָּ֑הּ וְכֹ֖ל מוֹעֲדָֽהּ

and to cease · all of · joy her · feast her · month her · and Sabbath her · and all of · appointed time her

וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִ֗י גַּפְנָהּ֙ וּתְאֵ֣נָתָ֔הּ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמְרָ֗ה אֶתְנָ֥ה הֵ֨מָּה֙ לִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽתְנוּ לִ֖י מְאַֽהֲבָ֑י וְשַׂמְתִּ֣ים לְיַ֔עַר וַאֲכָלָ֖תַם חַיַּ֥ת הַשָּׂדֶֽה

and to be desolate · vine her · and fig her · which · to say · hire · they · to/for me · which · to give · to/for me · loving me · and to put them · to/for forest · and to eat them · living of · the field

וּפָקַדְתִּ֣י עָלֶ֗יהָ אֶת יְמֵ֤י הַבְּעָלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּקְטִ֣יר לָהֶ֔ם וַתַּ֤עַד נִזְמָהּ֙ וְחֶלְיָתָ֔הּ וַתֵּ֖לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֣י מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ וְאֹתִ֥י שָׁכְחָ֖ה נְאֻם יְהוָֽה

and to visit · upon her · - · days of · the Baal · which · to burn incense · to/for them · and to pass on · ring her · and jewelry her · and to walk · after · loving her · and - me · to forget · utterance of · LORD

לָכֵ֗ן הִנֵּ֤ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ מְפַתֶּ֔יהָ וְהֹֽלַכְתִּ֖יהָ הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְדִבַּרְתִּ֖י עַל לִבָּֽהּ

to/for thus · behold · I · deceiving her · and to walk her · the wilderness · and to speak · upon · heart her

וְנָתַ֨תִּי לָ֤הּ אֶת כְּרָמֶ֨יהָ֙ מִשָּׁ֔ם וְאֶת עֵ֥מֶק עָכ֖וֹר לְפֶ֣תַח תִּקְוָ֑ה וְעָ֤נְתָה שָּׁ֨מָּה֙ כִּימֵ֣י נְעוּרֶ֔יהָ וִּכְי֖וֹם עֲלֹתָ֥הּ מֵאֶֽרֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם

and to give · to/for her · - · vineyards her · from there · and - · valley of · Achor · to/for doorway of · hope · and to answer · there toward · like/as days of · youth her · and like/as day of · to go up her · from land of · Egypt

וְהָיָ֤ה בַיּוֹם הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם יְהוָ֔ה תִּקְרְאִ֖י אִישִׁ֑י וְלֹֽא תִקְרְאִי לִ֥י ע֖וֹד בַּעְלִֽי

and to be · in/at the day · the he · utterance of · LORD · to call · man my · and not · to call · to/for me · still · Baali my

וַהֲסִרֹתִ֛י אֶת שְׁמ֥וֹת הַבְּעָלִ֖ים מִפִּ֑יהָ וְלֹֽא יִזָּכְר֥וּ ע֖וֹד בִּשְׁמָֽם

and to turn aside · - · names of · the Baal · from mouth her · and not · to remember · still · in/at name their

וְכָרַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֤ם בְּרִית֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא עִם חַיַּ֤ת הַשָּׂדֶה֙ וְעִם ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְרֶ֖מֶשׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה וְקֶ֨שֶׁת וְחֶ֤רֶב וּמִלְחָמָה֙ אֶשְׁבּ֣וֹר מִן הָאָ֔רֶץ וְהִשְׁכַּבְתִּ֖ים לָבֶֽטַח

and to cut · to/for them · covenant · in/at the day · the he · with · living of · the field · and with · bird of · the heaven(s) · and creeping things of · the ground · and bow · and sword · and battle · to break · from · the land · and to lie down them · to/for security

וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִ֖י לְעוֹלָ֑ם וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִי֙ בְּצֶ֣דֶק וּבְמִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּבְחֶ֖סֶד וּֽבְרַחֲמִֽים

and to betroth you · to/for me · to/for forever · and to betroth you · to/for me · in/at righteousness · and in/at judgment · and in/at kindness · and in/at compassion

וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִ֖י בֶּאֱמוּנָ֑ה וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ אֶת יְהוָֽה

and to betroth you · to/for me · in/at fidelity · and to know · - · LORD

וְהָיָ֣ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא אֶֽעֱנֶה֙ נְאֻם יְהוָ֔ה אֶעֱנֶ֖ה אֶת הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְהֵ֖ם יַעֲנ֥וּ אֶת הָאָֽרֶץ

and to be · in/at the day · the he · to answer · utterance of · LORD · to answer · - · the heaven(s) · and they · to answer · - · the land

וְהָאָ֣רֶץ תַּעֲנֶ֔ה אֶת הַדָּגָ֖ן וְאֶת הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְאֶת הַיִּצְהָ֑ר וְהֵ֖ם יַעֲנ֥וּ אֶֽת יִזְרְעֶֽאל

and the land · to answer · - · the wheat · and - · the wine · and - · the shining oil · and they · to answer · - · Jezreel

וּזְרַעְתִּ֤יהָ לִּי֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְרִֽחַמְתִּ֖י אֶת לֹ֣א רֻחָ֑מָה וְאָמַרְתִּ֤י לְלֹֽא עַמִּי֙ עַמִּי אַ֔תָּה וְה֖וּא יֹאמַ֥ר אֱלֹהָֽי
