וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל יוֹנָ֥ה בֶן אֲמִתַּ֖י לֵאמֹֽר

ק֠וּם לֵ֧ךְ אֶל נִֽינְוֵ֛ה הָעִ֥יר הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה וּקְרָ֣א עָלֶ֑יהָ כִּֽי עָלְתָ֥ה רָעָתָ֖ם לְפָנָֽי

rise · walk · to · Nineveh · the city · the great · and call · upon her · that · to go up · evil their · to/for face(s) my

וַיָּ֤קָם יוֹנָה֙ לִבְרֹ֣חַ תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה מִלִּפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֑ה וַיֵּ֨רֶד יָפ֜וֹ וַיִּמְצָ֥א אָנִיָּ֣ה בָּאָ֣ה תַרְשִׁ֗ישׁ וַיִּתֵּ֨ן שְׂכָרָ֜הּ וַיֵּ֤רֶד בָּהּ֙ לָב֤וֹא עִמָּהֶם֙ תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה מִלִּפְנֵ֖י יְהוָֽה

וַֽיהוָ֗ה הֵטִ֤יל רֽוּחַ גְּדוֹלָה֙ אֶל הַיָּ֔ם וַיְהִ֥י סַֽעַר גָּד֖וֹל בַּיָּ֑ם וְהָ֣אֳנִיָּ֔ה חִשְּׁבָ֖ה לְהִשָּׁבֵֽר

and LORD · to hurl · spirit · great · to · the sea · and to be · tempest · great · in/at the sea · and the ship · to think · to break

וַיִּֽירְא֣וּ הַמַּלָּחִ֗ים וַֽיִּזְעֲקוּ֮ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל אֱלֹהָיו֒ וַיָּטִ֨לוּ אֶת הַכֵּלִ֜ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר בָּֽאֳנִיָּה֙ אֶל הַיָּ֔ם לְהָקֵ֖ל מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְיוֹנָ֗ה יָרַד֙ אֶל יַרְכְּתֵ֣י הַסְּפִינָ֔ה וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב וַיֵּרָדַֽם

and to fear · the sailors · and to cry out · man · to · God(s) his · and to hurl · - · the vessels · which · in/at the ship · to · the sea · to be light · from upon them · and Jonah · to go down · to · sides of · the ship · and to lie down · and to sleep

וַיִּקְרַ֤ב אֵלָיו֙ רַ֣ב הַחֹבֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ מַה לְּךָ֣ נִרְדָּ֑ם ק֚וּם קְרָ֣א אֶל אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ אוּלַ֞י יִתְעַשֵּׁ֧ת הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים לָ֖נוּ וְלֹ֥א נֹאבֵֽד

and to approach · to him · many of · the sailor · and to say · to/for him · what · to/for you · sleeping · rise · call · to · God(s) your · perhaps · to gleam · the God(s) · to/for us · and not · to perish

וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל רֵעֵ֗הוּ לְכוּ֙ וְנַפִּ֣ילָה גֽוֹרָל֔וֹת וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה בְּשֶׁלְּמִ֛י הָרָעָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לָ֑נוּ וַיַּפִּ֨לוּ֙ גּֽוֹרָל֔וֹת וַיִּפֹּ֥ל הַגּוֹרָ֖ל עַל יוֹנָֽה

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו הַגִּידָה נָּ֣א לָ֔נוּ בַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר לְמִי הָרָעָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לָ֑נוּ מַה מְּלַאכְתְּךָ֙ וּמֵאַ֣יִן תָּב֔וֹא מָ֣ה אַרְצֶ֔ךָ וְאֵֽי מִזֶּ֥ה עַ֖ם אָֽתָּה

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם עִבְרִ֣י אָנֹ֑כִי וְאֶת יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י הַשָּׁמַ֨יִם֙ אֲנִ֣י יָרֵ֔א אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂ֥ה אֶת הַיָּ֖ם וְאֶת הַיַּבָּשָֽׁה

וַיִּֽירְא֤וּ הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ יִרְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֔ה וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ אֵלָ֖יו מַה זֹּ֣את עָשִׂ֑יתָ כִּֽי יָדְע֣וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים כִּֽי מִלִּפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ ה֣וּא בֹרֵ֔חַ כִּ֥י הִגִּ֖יד לָהֶֽם

וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ אֵלָיו֙ מַה נַּ֣עֲשֶׂה לָּ֔ךְ וְיִשְׁתֹּ֥ק הַיָּ֖ם מֵֽעָלֵ֑ינוּ כִּ֥י הַיָּ֖ם הוֹלֵ֥ךְ וְסֹעֵֽר

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם שָׂא֨וּנִי֙ וַהֲטִילֻ֣נִי אֶל הַיָּ֔ם וְיִשְׁתֹּ֥ק הַיָּ֖ם מֵֽעֲלֵיכֶ֑ם כִּ֚י יוֹדֵ֣עַ אָ֔נִי כִּ֣י בְשֶׁלִּ֔י הַסַּ֧עַר הַגָּד֛וֹל הַזֶּ֖ה עֲלֵיכֶֽם

and to say · to them · lift me · and hurl me · to · the sea · and to be silent · the sea · from upon you · that · knowing · I · that · in/at who/which to/for me · the tempest · the great · the this · upon you

וַיַּחְתְּר֣וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים לְהָשִׁ֛יב אֶל הַיַּבָּשָׁ֖ה וְלֹ֣א יָכֹ֑לוּ כִּ֣י הַיָּ֔ם הוֹלֵ֥ךְ וְסֹעֵ֖ר עֲלֵיהֶֽם

and to dig · the men · to return · to · the dry land · and not · to prevail · that · the sea · walking · and storming · upon them

וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ אֶל יְהוָ֜ה וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ אָנָּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ אַל נָ֣א נֹאבְדָ֗ה בְּנֶ֨פֶשׁ֙ הָאִ֣ישׁ הַזֶּ֔ה וְאַל תִּתֵּ֥ן עָלֵ֖ינוּ דָּ֣ם נָקִ֑יא כִּֽי אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר חָפַ֖צְתָּ עָשִֽׂיתָ

and to call · to · LORD · and to say · I beseech you · LORD · not · please · to perish · in/at soul of · the man · the this · and not · to give · upon us · blood · innocent · that · you · LORD · like/as which · to delight in · to do

וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ אֶת יוֹנָ֔ה וַיְטִלֻ֖הוּ אֶל הַיָּ֑ם וַיַּעֲמֹ֥ד הַיָּ֖ם מִזַּעְפּֽוֹ

and to lift · - · Jonah · and to hurl him · to · the sea · and to stand · the sea · from rage him

וַיִּֽירְא֧וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֛ים יִרְאָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה אֶת יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּֽזְבְּחוּ זֶ֨בַח֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וַֽיִּדְּר֖וּ נְדָרִֽים

and to fear · the men · fearing · great · - · LORD · and to sacrifice · sacrifice · to/for LORD · and to vow · vows

וַיְמַ֤ן יְהוָה֙ דָּ֣ג גָּד֔וֹל לִבְלֹ֖עַ אֶת יוֹנָ֑ה וַיְהִ֤י יוֹנָה֙ בִּמְעֵ֣י הַדָּ֔ג שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה יָמִ֖ים וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה לֵילֽוֹת

and to count · LORD · fish · great · to swallow up · - · Jonah · and to be · Jonah · in/at bowels of · the fish · three · days · and three · nights
