בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וָשֵׁשׁ֙ לְמַלְכ֣וּת אָסָ֔א עָלָ֞ה בַּעְשָׁ֤א מֶֽלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ עַל יְהוּדָ֔ה וַיִּ֖בֶן אֶת הָרָמָ֑ה לְבִלְתִּ֗י תֵּ֚ת יוֹצֵ֣א וָבָ֔א לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה

וַיֹּצֵ֨א אָסָ֜א כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֗ב מֵאֹֽצְר֛וֹת בֵּ֥ית יְהוָ֖ה וּבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח אֶל בֶּן הֲדַד֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֔ם הַיּוֹשֵׁ֥ב בְּדַרְמֶ֖שֶׂק לֵאמֹֽר

and to go out · Asa · silver · and gold · from storehouses of · house of · LORD · and house of · the king · and to send · to · Ben-hadad · Ben-hadad · king of · Aram · the dwelling · in/at Damascus · to say

בְּרִית֙ בֵּינִ֣י וּבֵינֶ֔ךָ וּבֵ֥ין אָבִ֖י וּבֵ֣ין אָבִ֑יךָ הִנֵּ֨ה שָׁלַ֤חְתִּֽי לְךָ֙ כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֔ב לֵ֞ךְ הָפֵ֣ר בְּרִֽיתְךָ֗ אֶת בַּעְשָׁא֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְיַעֲלֶ֖ה מֵעָלָֽי

covenant · between me · and between you · and between · father my · and between · father your · behold · to send · to/for you · silver · and gold · walk · break · covenant your · with · Baasha · king of · Israel · and to go up · from upon me

וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע בֶּן הֲדַ֜ד אֶל הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָסָ֗א וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח אֶת שָׂרֵ֨י הַחֲיָלִ֤ים אֲשֶׁר לוֹ֙ אֶל עָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּכּוּ֙ אֶת עִיּ֣וֹן וְאֶת דָּ֔ן וְאֵ֖ת אָבֵ֣ל מָ֑יִם וְאֵ֥ת כָּֽל מִסְכְּנ֖וֹת עָרֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִֽי

וַיְהִי֙ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ בַּעְשָׁ֔א וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל מִבְּנ֖וֹת אֶת הָרָמָ֑ה וַיַּשְׁבֵּ֖ת אֶת מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ

וְאָסָ֣א הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ לָקַח֙ אֶת כָּל יְהוּדָ֔ה וַיִּשְׂא֞וּ אֶת אַבְנֵ֤י הָֽרָמָה֙ וְאֶת עֵצֶ֔יהָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּנָ֖ה בַּעְשָׁ֑א וַיִּ֣בֶן בָּהֶ֔ם אֶת גֶּ֖בַע וְאֶת הַמִּצְפָּֽה

וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗יא בָּ֚א חֲנָ֣נִי הָרֹאֶ֔ה אֶל אָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֗יו בְּהִשָּׁ֨עֶנְךָ֜ עַל מֶ֤לֶךְ אֲרָם֙ וְלֹ֤א נִשְׁעַ֨נְתָּ֙ עַל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ עַל כֵּ֗ן נִמְלַ֛ט חֵ֥יל מֶֽלֶךְ אֲרָ֖ם מִיָּדֶֽךָ

הֲלֹ֧א הַכּוּשִׁ֣ים וְהַלּוּבִ֗ים הָי֨וּ לְחַ֧יִל לָרֹ֛ב לְרֶ֥כֶב וּלְפָרָשִׁ֖ים לְהַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וּבְהִשָּֽׁעֶנְךָ֥ עַל יְהוָ֖ה נְתָנָ֥ם בְּיָדֶֽךָ

not · the Cushites · and the Libyans · to be · to/for strength · to/for multitude · to/for chariot · and to/for horses · to/for to multiply · exceedingly · and in/at to lean on you · upon · LORD · to give them · in/at hand your

כִּ֣י יְהוָ֗ה עֵינָ֞יו מְשֹׁטְט֤וֹת בְּכָל הָאָ֨רֶץ֙ לְ֠הִתְחַזֵּק עִם לְבָבָ֥ם שָׁלֵ֛ם אֵלָ֖יו נִסְכַּ֣לְתָּ עַל זֹ֑את כִּ֣י מֵעַ֔תָּה יֵ֥שׁ עִמְּךָ֖ מִלְחָמֽוֹת

וַיִּכְעַ֨ס אָסָ֜א אֶל הָרֹאֶ֗ה וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֨הוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית הַמַּהְפֶּ֔כֶת כִּֽי בְזַ֥עַף עִמּ֖וֹ עַל זֹ֑את וַיְרַצֵּ֥ץ אָסָ֛א מִן הָעָ֖ם בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִֽיא

וְהִנֵּה֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י אָסָ֔א הָרִאשׁוֹנִ֖ים וְהָאַחֲרוֹנִ֑ים הִנָּ֤ם כְּתוּבִים֙ עַל סֵ֣פֶר הַמְּלָכִ֔ים לִיהוּדָ֖ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל

and behold · words of · Asa · the first · and the behind · behold them · written · upon · book of · the kings · to/for Judah · and Israel

וַיֶּחֱלֶ֣א אָסָ֡א בִּשְׁנַת֩ שְׁלוֹשִׁ֨ים וָתֵ֤שַׁע לְמַלְכוּתוֹ֙ בְּרַגְלָ֔יו עַד לְמַ֖עְלָה חָלְי֑וֹ וְגַם בְּחָלְיוֹ֙ לֹא דָרַ֣שׁ אֶת יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֖י בָּרֹפְאִֽים

and to be sick · Asa · in/at year of · thirty · and nine · to/for kingdom his · in/at feet his · until · to/for above toward · sickness his · and also · in/at sickness his · not · to seek · - · LORD · that · in/at the healing

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב אָסָ֖א עִם אֲבֹתָ֑יו וַיָּ֕מָת בִּשְׁנַ֛ת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וְאַחַ֖ת לְמָלְכֽוֹ

and to lie down · Asa · with · fathers his · and to die · in/at year of · forty · and one · to reign him

וַיִּקְבְּרֻ֣הוּ בְקִבְרֹתָ֗יו אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּֽרָה לוֹ֮ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִיד֒ וַיַּשְׁכִּיבֻ֗הוּ בַּמִּשְׁכָּב֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר מִלֵּא֙ בְּשָׂמִ֣ים וּזְנִ֔ים מְרֻקָּחִ֖ים בְּמִרְקַ֣חַת מַעֲשֶׂ֑ה וַיִּשְׂרְפוּ ל֥וֹ שְׂרֵפָ֖ה גְּדוֹלָ֥ה עַד לִמְאֹֽד
